The “Historical and Geographic Research in Ukraine” collection is edited by the Department of Special Historical Subjects and Electronic Information Resources of the NASU Institute of History of Ukraine. The articles and reviews cover a broad subject area, including urgent issues of historical source studies, cartographic historical sources, monetary circulation in medieval Ukraine, national regional studies, biographical studies respecting Ukrainian historical figures. Of significant importance are the issues of historical geography, cartography, topography, regional studies, local history, ecology, history of cities and villages of Ukraine, their symbols, local power attributes, historical mapping, notaphily, numismatic monuments etc. Traditionally, the above-noted issues have been reflected in the given edition. The reference tools contain brief data on the authors’ academic status, research areas, position and workplace. |
