The collection highlights I. Mazepa’s domestic and foreign policy, the 1700 – 1721 Great Northern War; it also includes studies related to Ukrainian cultural heritage (XVII – early XVIII); Mazepa’s and Palii’s folklore interpretations; documents with regard to I. Mazepa’s and P. Orlyk’s activities, as well as a Swedish officer’s diary on the 1709 events near Poltava. The publication is intended for researchers, postgraduates, anyone interested in Ukrainian history.
